About Shelley and her Practice
I was born and raised in Spokane, graduated with a Bachelors degree in Health Services Administration from EWU in 1985 and began working in that field in Seattle in 1986. In 1990 I began studying Massage therapy in Seattle finished my training after moving back to Spokane in 1991. I continued to work in health care administration full time including eight years as a case manager for St. Luke's Rehabilitation injured worker program and a few years as a contract administrator for Providence Sacred Heart and I became fully self employed in 2002. As of September 2018 I also work two days per week in the Chronic Pain program at St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute.

Always curious and eager to learn, I am current with Washington State and my professional association (AMTA) continuing education requirements. My specialized training includes The Mayo Clinic's Hospital Based Massage Course (May 2019) the Vodder Method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Cupping, and Thai Yoga Massage certification and I was a guest instructor at Northwest Noetic School of Massage from 2000 to 2010. Nothing compares to hands-on experience and I have provided over 14,000 treatment sessions since I received my license in 1991

I began studying cosmetic skin care at Studio Beauty School in Spokane in 2011 and was granted my esthetics license that same year. I am Bioelements trained in chemical peels  and Alexandria trained in sugar paste hair removal  and certified in eyelash extensions by Eileen Frances from Beautiful Lashes. Esthetics is an evolving field that requires ongoing study and I regularly research products and ingredients, both natural and chemical, stay current on trade articles and regulations, and attend professional training.
